The qualification is made up of three mandatory units. Learners explore the principles of systematic instruction, the strategies and tools used in practice, and how to deliver training using systematic instruction in a workplace setting.

  • Unit A/651/4335: Principles of Systematic Instruction.
  • Unit D/651/4336: Strategies, techniques and tools.
  • Unit F/651/4337: Delivering training using TSI.

Assessment and evidence

Assessment and evidence

This qualification is assessed through a portfolio of evidence. Learners may be asked to provide workbooks, work products, observations and professional discussions to demonstrate their understanding and practical application.

  • Nationally recognised Level 3 TSI qualification.
  • Delivered in focused learning blocks.

Delivery format

  • In-person delivery over five full days, split into two blocks.
  • Block one: three consecutive days.
  • Block two: two consecutive days, approximately four weeks later.
  • Online delivery is intended as a five-day version delivered over four weeks.

Eligibility criteria

Eligibility criteria

  • Learners must be aged 19 years plus.
  • They should work in the supported employment sector as job coaches, or have job coaching as part of their role.
  • They need access to a relevant workplace to meet assessment requirements.
  • They should have relevant supported employment experience and continuous professional development.
