The Model

With the right support, anyone who wants to work, can find a job.

Supported Employment is an evidence-based model used successfully for decades to support disabled people — particularly those with a Learning Disability and/or Autism — into paid, mainstream employment.

The model identifies the most 'natural' ways to support people into employment, working in equal partnership with the jobseeker and the employer. It is a five-stage framework with core values and national occupational standards.

Vocational Profiling starts the journey — understanding a person's unique skills, interests and support needs through conversation, not assessment. It's person-centred, strengths-based, and the foundation of everything that follows.
